Ancient Methods - Else (Ugandan Methods Mix) (Third Method, Ancient Methods, 2009)
“The Third Method from the evil Ancient Methods label. This is particularly nasty stuff which sounds like Surgeon on downers. It’s not really the sort of thing you’ll be playing to your lady but you could try. Grim, oppressive and utterly brilliant!” — Rubadub

Regis - Execution Ground (Divine Ritual, Downwards, 1999)
FACT: Ritualistic vocals, incantation, the attainment of trance-states – all this was quite a preoccupation for you for a time, wasn’t it?
Regis: “I think it was purely about creating slabs of ‘Exotic Hypnotics’ (as Peter Sutton called it); it was about forsaking any form of melody or traditional structure (breakdowns, drum-fills, etc) and building a mantra. The vocal sequences added a more human dynamic when mixed with the processed electronics. It was part Process Church of the Final Judgement and part Hammer House of Horror to a 4/4 time signature. It may be worth reinvestigating at some point, let’s see.”

British Murder Boys - Learn Your Lesson (Counterbalance, 2003)
Resident Advisor: There seems to be some confusion about why you and Karl O’Connor split your British Murder Boys partnership. Can you clear that up at all?
Surgeon: The world can be a confusing place, just relax as you take a deep breath and go deeper.
